Ministry Teams

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of NCCU is our mission to our community and our world. NCCU members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as watering the flowers and preparing the church bulletins, to organizing large scale events.

Each ministry team: (Education-Discipleship, Care, Communications, Fellowship-Outreach, Property, Service, Worship Team, Men’s & Women’s Fellowship and Small Group) is lead by a coordinator. Below is a description of each ministry:

 Care Ministry-

The Care Ministry oversees, organizes, and implements care for the practical needs of the people in our church body as well as those in our community that are in need of special care. “Love our neighbors as ourselves.”
 
  • Call on shut-ins, elderly, or bereaved
  • Meals for special needs
  • Assist with yard & home clean-up projects 
  • Networks with community program
  • Backpack Ministry to Hood Canal School
  • Church Food Pantry
  • Arrange for transportation needs to and from Worship Service, appointments & errands 
  • Hood Canal School Backpack Ministry-donations, shopping & delivering to the school.

Education & Discipleship-

The education team will oversee the teaching and discipleship ministries of the congregation. Mature believers by “teaching them to obey all that Christ has commanded us.”

Given the purpose of the church to “love the Lord with all our hearts,” the Service Team oversees the following areas of our Sunday Service.
  • Setup, cleanup before and after services
  • Greet & Usher
  • PowerPoint (overhead projection)
  • Flowers and candles
  • Equipment transport & set-up
  • Communion preparation

Outreach-Fellowship

The team will oversee the events and activities that promote connections and growth in relationships. To develop the community and sense of belonging for all believers, growing out of our baptism into the body of Christ.
