September message from Pastor Michael

Well here we are, entering into the month of September. And I wonder, “How could that be? How did we get here so quickly?” It is amazing how quickly time goes by, isn’t it? We blinked and summer is gone.

Maybe that is why the apostle Paul wrote these words to the Colossians in Colossians 4: 5-6:
“Live wisely among those who are not Christians, and make the most of every opportunity.”

The reality is that we do not have a lot of time here on earth, and the time we have races on with or without us. And the question is, what are we doing with that time that God has given us? What are we doing with the opportunities that God has given us to promote His kingdom?

We each have a circle of influence that God has put us in. We all have opportunities to be witnesses to Christ Jesus to those around us: friends, family, acquaintances, and even enemies. Our actions and our words are either wise or foolish; wise in drawing people unto Christ or foolish in pushing them away from Christ.

Paul tells us to be wise in the way we interact with non-Christians and to make the most of every opportunity. Are we doing that? Are we living wisely? Are we recognizing our opportunities and making the most of them?

Only one life to live

‘Twill soon be past.

Only what’s done for Christ

Will last.

Let’s make our time on earth count for eternity.

Sincerely His,

Pastor Michael
